Accessing Our Resources
CREATE_space resources is available for creative research exploring arts, technology, and entrepreneurship. Resources can always be utilized in-house from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday (excluding university holidays). For use of resources beyond normal business hours, please follow these procedures for Project Proposal Submission and Equipment Check-out:
Creative Consultations – The applicant and the CREATE_space Staff will discuss resource needs and expected outcomes associated with the proposed creative research, as well as potential technical options and challenges and the best approach for intended outcome.
Scheduling Resources - Each CREATE_space resource has its own page and calendar showing that item’s availability. If the equipment, room, etc. you want is available, proceed to the next step to schedule it.
Self-Schedule & Check-Out -All resources must be requested online 36 hrs prior to desired pickup through the space’s equipment pages. You will be required to provide various types of information upon request, including but not limited to: Applicant Name, Project Title, Email Address, Dates & Times for Equipment for Checkout & Return.
E-mail Confirmation - The CREATE_space Staff will verify any available Resource Requests prior to the desired pickup date.
Resource Pick-Up – The CREATE_space Staff will sign out all resources utilizing space resources using Usage Forms, obtaining project-holder information including: Full Name, Signature, Project Name, and Resource Call Numbers .
Resource Pick-Up Hours -All equipment pick-ups and returns are to be conducted according to your Self-Scheduled Resource Return Time; NO EXCEPTIONS.
Resource Returns – All resources are due back on, or before, the documented Resource return date & time. Any resources that is overdue or missing affects another space patron. Please ensure that you can return the full resource bundle on the date set forth by you and the CREATE_space Staff. Resources may be returned early to any CREATE_space Drop-Off Locker, located in various Studios.
Overdue Resources – In the event that you are legitimately unable to return said equipment by such date, please contact the CREATE_space and request an extension. In the event that you do not return resource on the recorded date, you may have your equipment loan privileges temporarily or permanently revoked.
Tell Us What’s Happening - All resource usage must be documented and reported by way of the CREATE_space Tell Us What’s Happening web page. Within 24 hours of the returned resources, you are responsible for textualizing your creative research within the requirements of the page. Please use this opportunity to communicate your processes, outcomes, and rational for your research.

Printing - Any resource that consume materials, is one that incurs cost on a per-use-basis. In order to use such resources, the CREATE_space must charge to cover related costs. Please ensure that you read the Services page, and come prepared. Schedule your time with staff for help, well in advance, as these processes frequently take a fair amount of time.
