Accessing Our Resources
The Aesthetic Technologies Lab equipment is available for defined project use. The @Lab equipment can always be utilized in-house from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday (excluding university holidays.) For use of equipment beyond normal business hours, please follow these procedures for Project Proposal Submission and Equipment Check-out:
Initial Consultation – The applicant and the @Lab Staff will discuss equipment needs and expected outcomes associated with the project proposal, as well as potential technical options and challenges and the best approach for intended outcome.
Scheduling Resources - Each resource has its own page and calendar showing that item’s availability. If the equipment, room, etc. you want is available, proceed to the next step to schedule it.
Self-Schedule & Check-Out – You will now be able to self-schedule equipment resources through the lab’s equipment pages. You will be required to provide: Applicant Name, Project Title, Email Address, Dates & Times for Equipment for Checkout & Return.
Confirmation - The @Lab Staff will verify any open Resource Requests pertaining to: Hosting/teaching of scheduled classes within lab facilities, or Equipment Resources.
Equipment Pick-Up – The @Lab Staff sign out the equipment utilizing lab Equipment Loan Forms, obtaining project-holder information including: Full Name, Project Name, Email, Phone, DLN or PID, General Category, General Technologies, and Signature. Along with the form, equipment information must be obtained which includes: Name/Model, & Serial Number/OU Tag. Operational information will also be logged including: Pickup Date, Return Date, Power On & Basic Functionality Tests, while confirming synchronization with our digital calendar, and a sign-out signature.
Equipment Pick-Up Hours -All equipment pick-ups and returns are to be conducted according to your Self-Scheduled Resource Return Time; NO EXCEPTIONS.
Overdue Equipment – Any equipment that is overdue affects another lab patron. Please ensure that you can return the equipment on the date set forth by you and the @Lab Staff. In the event that you are legitimately unable to return said equipment by such date, please contact the @Lab and request an extension. In the event that you do not return equipment on the recorded date, you may have your equipment loan privileges temporarily or permanently revoked.
Consumable Resources – Any resource that consume materials, is one that incurs cost on a per-use-basis. In order to use such resources, the @Lab must charge to cover related costs. Please ensure that you read the Printing page, and come prepared. Schedule your time with staff to print well in advance, as printing takes a fair amount of time.
